STUDENT ACCOMMODATION

Student accommodation is booked in the Student Houses Generála Svobody, which are situated approximately a 15-minute walking distance from the city centre and university. There will be two students per room and the rooms are organized in two-room suites, equipped with private bathroom.

The Euroculture Consortium will only cover accommodation costs from arrival day to departure day, that is: check in 20 June, check out 28 June. In case you would like to come earlier or stay longer, please contact Mr. Jaroslav Vrba (jaroslav.vrba@upol.cz), who will help you with booking your accommodation. For these extra days you will be charged 470 CZK per day. Credit cards (MasterCard, MasterCard Electronic, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron, American Express) are accepted for payments. A fixed transaction fee (50 CZK) is charged for this type of payment.

How to get to the Arigone hotel

From Olomouc railway station, you can take a tram no. 2 (direction Neředín), no. 3 (direction Trnkova) and no. 4 (direction Nová ulice) and get off at the Náměstí Republiky stop.

Please note that Olomouc Half Marathon (a huge international event) takes place on Saturday, 20 June. The main race starts at 7 pm. Most of the streets will be closed and trams no. 2, 3, 4 will be out of service from 5.45 pm. There will be only one tramline operating which you can take after 6 pm – no. X5 (direction Trnkova), get off at the Šantovka stop.
